# Conversation List

> Conversations linked to the record.

## Overview

Conversation List shows the Conversations associated with the current record: email threads, SMS exchanges, calls, and chat sessions. Click any item to open the thread inline.

## Configuration

| Setting  | What it does                                                     |
| -------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Channels | Limit the list to specific channels: email, SMS, voice, or chat. |
| Status   | Show open, closed, or all conversations. Defaults to open.       |
| Limit    | The maximum number of conversations to show.                     |

## Use cases

A "Recent Activity" panel on a Contact. A "Conversations" tab on a Deal showing every email thread tied to it.
