# Whiteboard

> Collaborative free-form drawing canvas.

## Overview

Whiteboard attaches a free-form drawing canvas to a record or page. Multiple teammates can draw on the same board at once, with changes appearing live for everyone.

## Configuration

| Setting             | What it does                                                |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| Whiteboard property | The record property the board attaches to (in record mode). |

## Record vs standalone mode

Same two modes as Notes: attach the board to a property so each record keeps its own board (record mode), or leave the property unset so the board belongs to the page itself (standalone mode).

## Use cases

System architecture diagrams on a Feature record. Customer journey maps on an Account. Brainstorm boards on a Project page.
