# Dialer

> Make and receive calls from the browser.

The dialer is a persistent widget docked to the bottom of the app. It runs right in your browser; no software install is required.

## Making a call

* Click any phone-property value to dial it directly.
* Open the dialer and type a number to dial manually.
* Use power-dialer mode to walk through a list of records, auto-advancing to the next when you hang up.

## Receiving a call

When an inbound call arrives on a number you have access to, the dialer rings. The matched Conversation (or a new one, if there's no match) opens in a side panel so you have the record and history while you talk.

## Disposition

After the call ends, you are prompted to set a **disposition** (e.g., Connected, Voicemail, Wrong Number). Dispositions are configured per-workspace and feed into reporting. See [Stages & Rules](/comms/conversations/stages) for how dispositions are scoped per conversation type.

## Hold, transfer, conference

The dialer supports hold and warm transfer between users in the same workspace. Conference (3+ parties) is on the roadmap.
