# Date Range

> A span of time at the granularity you choose: day, month, quarter, or year.

## Overview

Date Range covers a period rather than an instant: a fiscal quarter, a
subscription term, a campaign window. You choose the **granularity** it's
measured in, so a value can be as coarse as a year or as fine as a single day.

Pick it from **Date & Time** in the property type list.

## Configuration

| Setting | What it does                                                                 |
| ------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Type    | The granularity of the span: `date`, `month`, `quarter`, or `year`.          |
| Format  | How the value is displayed, as a date format string. Defaults to `MM/DD/YY`. |

## What it stores

One span, at the configured granularity.
