# Phone

> An E.164 phone number.

## Overview

A single phone number stored in E.164 format. Custral uses Phone properties to match inbound SMS and voice calls to records.

## Configuration

| Setting         | What it does                                                                                                         |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Default country | The country assumed when someone enters a number without a country code, so partial numbers are completed correctly. |

## What it stores

A single phone number, saved in international format.

## Filtering

Equals, does not equal, country is, is empty, is not empty.

## Examples

A Contact's mobile number. Inbound SMS / call routing depends on this type. Plain text won't match.
