# Desktop releases

> Version history for the Custral desktop app on macOS.

The desktop app loads the same Custral you use at [app.custral.com](https://app.custral.com), so new features reach it the moment they ship on the web. A new desktop version only covers the app around it: the menu bar, windows, notifications and updates. Download it from [custral.com/download](https://custral.com/download), or see [Desktop app](/start/apps/desktop).
