# Where Custral runs

> Custral in the browser, as a Mac desktop app, and on iPhone, iPad and Android.

Custral is the same workspace everywhere you open it. Your data, views, and
settings are server-side, so switching devices changes the chrome around the
product, not the product.

## What differs between them

The web and desktop apps are feature-equivalent. Desktop adds OS-level
notifications, a dock badge, and tabs for holding several workspaces at once.
Mobile is deliberately narrower: it covers the work you do away from a desk
(triage, calls, looking a record up, asking the assistant) rather than
workspace configuration, which stays on web and desktop.

On a tablet the mobile app changes shape rather than capability: navigation moves
to a labelled rail down the side, and a wide enough window adds a pages panel
beside it. See [On a tablet](/start/apps/mobile#on-a-tablet).

<Note>
  Your account preferences (notification toggles, sounds, shortcuts) are stored
  on your account, so they follow you to every surface. Per-device switches (like
  **Play sounds on this device**) stay local by design. See
  [My Account](/start/account/overview).
