# Dashboard View

> A View composed of charts, stats, and indicators across many objects.

A Dashboard View is a free-form grid of Components. Unlike a Database View, components inside a Dashboard each have their own data source. One tile can chart deals, the next can chart tickets. The Dashboard itself does not impose a shared record set.

## When to pick this

Pick Dashboard when the View answers an executive or team-wide question that spans objects: "Sales leadership weekly", "Support health", "Deliverability check".

## What it includes

* A grid of independently-configured Components.
* Optional Dashboard-level filters (e.g., "this quarter") that propagate as parameters into each Component that opts in.
* A title and description rendered above the grid.
