What it does

Apollo is a database of business contacts and companies. Connecting it lets you:
  • Ask Stella to find leads, look people and companies up, and check your Apollo sequences (“find 20 heads of sales at Series A fintechs”).
  • Enrich a person in a workflow: fill in their email, title, location, LinkedIn and company from Apollo.
  • Find people in a workflow: search Apollo and add the people it finds to your People object.
Every lookup runs on your own Apollo account and spends your Apollo credits. Custral never pays for, or sees, an Apollo plan of its own.

Connect

1

Connect your Apollo account

Go to Settings → Integrations and choose Connect on the Apollo card (or Settings → Connectors). Sign in to Apollo and approve. Each person connects their own account, and Stella sees only what that person can.
2

Use a work email

Apollo blocks search and enrichment for free accounts signed up with a personal email address. Sign up to Apollo with your work email.
3

Install the Apollo module for workflows

To use the workflow steps, install Apollo from Settings → Integrations → Modules.

Workflow steps

Both steps start with Apollo account: the teammate whose Apollo connection the step uses. Their credits are spent, and the step fails with a clear message if they haven’t connected Apollo.

Enrich Person with Apollo

Looks a person record up by its email or LinkedIn URL and fills in its email, job title, location, LinkedIn and company.
  • Uses one credit per match. A record with neither an email nor a LinkedIn URL is skipped, without spending a credit, because a name alone could match a stranger.
  • Only blank fields are filled unless you turn on Replace existing values.
  • Values land in the properties that hold them by type and name: your Email property, a text property called Job title, Title or Role, and so on.

Find People in Apollo

Searches Apollo’s people database with the filters you set (job titles, seniorities, company domains, company sizes, keywords), then adds each person found to your People object.
  • Uses one credit per person found. Apollo’s search hides last names and emails, so each result is enriched before it’s added. Max results (default 25, at most 100) caps the people, and so the credits, per run.
  • Anyone already in Custral is skipped, matched by LinkedIn URL or email. Their credit is still spent, because Apollo only reveals who they are once they’re enriched.
  • A step with no filters at all is refused rather than searching Apollo’s whole database.
Testing either step with Try it previews its settings and spends nothing.
