What it does
Nylas is the email provider that powers every email channel in Custral. One connected mailbox per user (or per shared inbox) becomes one channel: inbound mail arrives in your Custral inbox automatically, and outbound mail you send from Custral is delivered through your connected mailbox.Connect

Open Channels
Settings → Channels → Add Channel → Email.

Pick a provider
Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, IMAP, or Exchange. Nylas supports them all behind the same UI.

Authorize
Sign in to your provider and grant the requested scopes (read, send, calendar if you want events).
Configure
Per-channel:- Personal vs shared: who else on the team can read this mailbox.
- Default From name for outbound mail.
- Recording / archiving policy.
Resources synced
Limitations
- The mailbox stays at the provider. Custral does not become the source of truth for mail. Disconnecting removes the channel but leaves your mail with Google / Microsoft / etc.
- Calendar two-way sync is read-only in the current build.
