Users are the people with access to your Custral workspace, your internal team and external collaborators. Getting started means inviting them, adding them to Teams, and setting their access.

Inviting users

1

Open Users

Go to Settings → Team → Users.
2

Invite a user

Open the invite dialog and enter their display name and the email they’ll sign in with.
3

Add them to a Team (optional)

Put them in a Team so they inherit its access automatically.
4

Set an initial access level

Pick Read, Edit, Admin, or Owner. Whatever they need on day one.
Once invited, the user receives an email with a secure link to join your organization.

Organize with Teams

A Team is a named collection of users that access is granted to as a unit, so you grant “All Success Managers” access to a pipeline once, rather than per person. Add a user to the right Teams and they inherit that access automatically; when grants overlap, the highest level wins.

Managing access

Access is controlled by the Access Control List (ACL) on each Entity (an Object, Record, View, and so on) granted directly to a user or through a Team. You can adjust a user’s access at any time. For the full breakdown, see Access levels.

Best practices

  • Invite only what you need: start with your core team, expand access as workflows grow.
  • Use Teams for structure: add new users to a Team to grant the right access automatically.
  • Review access regularly: audit user lists and ACLs periodically to keep the workspace secure.
  • Keep ownership clear: ensure each Object or Section has a clear Owner to prevent orphaned data.
