Overview
A slide layout (also called a slide template) is a single-slide starter that the “Add slide” picker offers inside the Presentation block. Where a presentation template is a whole-deck snapshot with variables, a slide layout is just one reusable slide you can drop in and then fill out.How it works
Slide layouts are managed at Settings → Presentations → Layouts (the screen header reads “Slide Templates”). The list shows each layout’s name, category, and description, with a delete control per row. Each layout has:- Name and Description.
- Category: one of Title, Content, Data, Media, or Custom. Used to group the layout in the picker.
- Theme (optional): a brand kit for the preview thumbnail and inserted styles.
Using it
1
Create a layout
On the Layouts screen, click New slide template. Set a name, optional
description, a Category, and optionally a Theme. A starter slide
with a title and body is created.
2
Refine the slide content
Insert the layout into a deck, adjust the elements, then use Save as
slide template to update the layout’s slide.
3
Reuse it
The layout now appears in the block’s Add-slide picker under its category.
