You can add Custral to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector. After that you can ask questions about your workspace in a normal chat, such as “Which conversations are waiting on a reply?” or “Summarize everything we know about Acme”, and the answer comes from your real data. You don’t need to write code or create a key. You paste one link and sign in.
You can also copy it from Settings → AI → Connectors in Custral, under Use Custral in Claude or ChatGPT.

Add it to Claude

1

Open connector settings

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
2

Paste the link

Name it Custral, paste the link above, and choose Add.
3

Sign in to Custral

Choose Connect. A Custral window opens. Sign in if asked, pick the workspace Claude should use, check the list of what it will be able to do, and choose Authorize.
4

Turn it on in a chat

In a new chat, open the tools menu (the sliders icon under the message box) and make sure Custral is on. Then just ask.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once for the organization (Organization settings → Connectors). After that, each person finds Custral in their own connector list and chooses Connect to sign in with their own Custral account.
The Claude desktop and mobile apps use the same connectors as claude.ai, so you only add it once.

Add it to ChatGPT

ChatGPT adds outside connectors through its developer mode. Despite the name, it’s a single switch and no coding is involved.
1

Turn on developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
2

Create the connector

Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create. Name it Custral, paste the link above, set authentication to OAuth, and choose Create.
3

Sign in to Custral

A Custral window opens. Pick the workspace, check the list of what ChatGPT will be able to do, and choose Authorize.
4

Use it in a chat

In a new chat, choose + under the message box, then Developer mode, and pick Custral. Then ask your question.
On ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, an admin may need to allow custom connectors before developer mode appears.

Things to try

  • “Which of my conversations are still open, and which need a reply first?”
  • “Find Jane at Acme and tell me where the deal stands.”
  • “What’s on my calendar tomorrow?”
  • “Mark the Globex deal as won.” (Claude and ChatGPT ask you to confirm before changing anything.)

What it can see and do

Claude and ChatGPT act as you, in the one workspace you picked when you signed in. They can see what you can see in Custral, and nothing more. The sign-in window lists exactly what you’re allowing, for example reading records and conversations, or updating records. Most connections only read. To connect a second workspace, add the connector again under another name (such as Custral – Sales) and pick the other workspace when you sign in.

Disconnect

To cut off access, revoke it in Custral under Settings → Applications. The connection is listed there with the date it was last used. Removing the connector in Claude or ChatGPT hides it from your chats, but revoking it in Custral is what actually ends access.

If something goes wrong

  • “Couldn’t connect” or nothing happens when you choose Connect. Allow pop-ups for claude.ai or chatgpt.com, then try again.
  • It answers from the wrong workspace. Remove the connector, add it again, and pick the right workspace when you sign in.
  • It says it can’t change something. The connection only has the permissions you approved. Remove it and connect again to approve more.

  • Connectors: the other direction, letting Stella use Slack, Notion and other tools.
