A folder is a container in the sidebar that holds pages, other folders, or both. Folders are how you give a section structure, grouping related pages together so your workspace stays organized as it grows.

Nesting

A folder can hold pages and a level of sub-folders, so you can group related pages a couple of levels deep. Enough to match how a team works without the sidebar turning into a maze:
  • Sales → Deals → Deal List
  • Success → Active clients → Onboarding
Folder nesting is capped at a few levels (a folder, a sub-folder, then pages): deep enough to organize, shallow enough to stay scannable.

Where folders fit

Folders sit in the middle of the navigation hierarchy:

Using folders

1

Create a folder

Inside a section (or another folder), add a new folder and give it a clear, short name.
2

Add pages or sub-folders

Place pages directly in the folder, or nest more folders to break a large area into sub-topics.
3

Reorganize anytime

Move pages and folders between containers as your structure evolves.
Keep names concise so the sidebar stays easy to scan, and revisit your folder structure periodically as your team grows.
