Overview
The Media library is a single place to manage every file your workspace has stored: images, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, audio, video, and more. Each file is listed with its type, MIME type, size, who uploaded it, the record it’s attached to (if any), and when it was created. How it works
Files in Custral are stored as resources backed by secure cloud storage. When you open the Media library, each file’s download link is a freshly signed, time-limited URL rather than a permanent public link. Files can be standalone or attached to a record, for example an image dropped into a record’s file field. The library exposes two tabs:- All Media: every resource in the workspace.
- Record Files: only resources linked to a record, with the record name shown so you can see where each file is used.
Using it
1
Open Media
Go to Settings → Media. The All Media tab lists every file; switch
to Record Files to see only files attached to records.
2
Filter and sort
Use the filter bar above the table to narrow by name, type, size, uploader,
record, or date, and to sort the list.
3
Open or download a file
Click the Download action on a row to open the file in a new tab. Audio
files also show a Play action.
4
Delete a file
Click the Delete (trash) action and confirm. The file is removed from
the workspace.
The Media library is for browsing and managing files that already exist.
Files get added through the places you use them, for example, a record’s
file field or an AI image auto-fill. Rather than uploaded directly here.
Troubleshooting
When reporting an issue, include the request id shown in the error toast.
It links the in-app error to the server logs.
