Every Object can have one or more Views that determine how its records appear: as a table, a board, a document, a dashboard, and more. When you create an Object, Custral seeds it with a starter set of Views (for example an Overview document and Conversations / Analytics panels).

View types

Each View renders the Object’s data in a different way: A View either belongs to an Object or to a standalone page.

Where Views appear

  • Opening an Object from the sidebar shows its records in the Object’s primary database View.
  • Opening a single record shows that Object’s record layout (document + any embedded blocks).
  • Relation pickers (when you search to link a record) use live record search, not a separate View.
