Object Views - Custral Docs

Every Object can have one or more Views that determine how its records appear: as a table, a board, a document, a dashboard, and more. When you create an Object, Custral seeds it with a starter set of Views (for example an Overview document and Conversations / Analytics panels).

View types

Each View renders the Object’s data in a different way:

Type	Renders as
Database	A records table, board, or list for the Object
Dashboard	A grid of blocks (charts, metrics, embeds)
Document	A rich-text / notes layout
Single block	A single embedded block (e.g. Conversations, Analytics)
Stack	A stacked layout of components

A View either belongs to an Object or to a standalone page.

Where Views appear

Opening an Object from the sidebar shows its records in the Object’s primary database View.
Opening a single record shows that Object’s record layout (document + any embedded blocks).
Relation pickers (when you search to link a record) use live record search, not a separate View.
