Overview

The command palette is one keyboard shortcut, ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), that does three things at once: search across your workspace (records, conversations, views, workflows), run actions for whatever page you’re on (“Archive this record”, “Enable this workflow”, “Go to Settings → Users”), and reach the assistant (“New chat”, or send what you typed straight to it). It’s the fastest way to get anywhere or do anything without hunting through menus.

How it works

Press ⌘K to open it, then just start typing. What you see adapts to the page you’re on:
  • Quick actions: page-aware actions for the record, conversation, workflow, or inbox you’re currently viewing.
  • Assistant: start a new chat, or press ↵ on “Ask the assistant: ” to send your text to the assistant with the current page attached.
  • Recent: items you’ve viewed recently, when the search box is empty.
  • Results: live search across your workspace as you type (records, conversations, pages, objects, workflows).
  • Emails: matching messages from all your inboxes, from any page, ranked first when you’re already on the inbox.
  • Go to: jump to any product area or settings page.
Narrow your search with filters: in: scopes to an object, type: filters by result kind (records, conversations, pages, objects, workflows), and title: matches titles only. Start typing a prefix and press Tab to accept a suggestion; Backspace on an empty box removes the last filter chip. Searching from inside an object auto-scopes to it. To ask the assistant, just type your question and press . The “Ask the assistant” row sits at the top, so Enter sends it straight there. Navigate with ↑ / ↓, run the highlighted item with , and close with esc. Destructive actions (like deleting a record) always ask for confirmation first. The palette replaced the classic search, so both ⌘K and ⌘/ open it. You can customize the shortcuts under Settings → My Account → Keyboard.

Troubleshooting

When reporting an issue, include the request id shown in the error toast, it links the in-app error to the server logs.
  • AI assistant: the palette’s “New chat” and “Ask the assistant” entry points.
  • Views & search: what the Results section searches across.
