Some tools in Custral open as floating windows over your workspace instead of taking you to a separate page: the Assistant, the dialer, the calendar, and your tasks. Each window is draggable and resizable, and the page underneath stays fully usable, so you can keep working with a tool open beside you.
These are the floating windows, the app chrome that hosts a tool. They’re different from the embedded widget blocks (like the dialer or agent block) you place inside a page.

What you can do

Float it anywhere

Drag a window by its header to position it, and drag an edge to resize.

Pin it to the side

Pin a window to the right edge and the page content splits beside it, so nothing overlaps.

Dock it to the bar

Tuck a window down onto the widget bar to get it out of the way without closing it.

Combine into tabs

Drag one window’s header onto another to group them as tabs, and drag a tab off to split it back out.

The widget bar

The widget bar is the launcher for these tools. It shows the widgets you have open, in the order you opened them; the + at the end reveals everything that isn’t open yet. Click an icon to open or hide that widget. A window for a tool that also has a full page (like the Assistant) carries an Open full page button in its header that takes you to the full screen and closes the window.

What sticks

  • Open windows come back after a page reload, for the current session, so a refresh doesn’t lose your place.
  • Size and position are remembered per widget on your device, so each tool reopens where you last left it.

Troubleshooting

A widget is covering my content. Pin it to the right edge (the page splits beside it) or dock it to the widget bar. Floating windows sit on top by design; pinning and docking give them their own space. My open windows didn’t come back after I closed the app. Open windows are remembered for the session. A reload restores them, but fully closing the app doesn’t re-open them next launch. Each widget still reopens at its last size and position when you open it again. I closed a widget and its icon disappeared from the bar. That’s expected. The bar shows only what’s open. Reopen it from the + menu, which lists every widget that isn’t currently open.
  • Command palette: the ⌘K launcher for search and actions.
  • Assistant: the ⌘I Assistant, the most-used widget window.
