Notifications - Custral Docs

Overview

Control which events notify you from Settings → Client Settings → Notifications. These toggles apply to your account across web, desktop, and mobile. They’re enforced when a notification is sent, so turning one off silences it everywhere.

What you can toggle

Setting	Notifies you when…
New emails	An inbound email arrives on a channel you’re assigned to.
Task assignments	A task is assigned to you.
Voicemails	A caller leaves you a voicemail.
Recommendations	A high-priority AI recommendation about your accounts or conversations appears.

A2P registration-status notifications are transactional and always delivered. There’s no toggle for them.

Browser notifications

Enable browser notifications lets Custral notify you when the tab isn’t focused. This is a per-browser / per-device permission (not saved to your account). If it’s blocked, re-enable it in your browser’s site settings.

Notification sounds

The Notification sounds card (same tab) sets the sound for an Incoming call and a New conversation. A preset or a custom upload, with a preview. The sound choice syncs to your account; the Play sounds on this device switch is per-device.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	Likely cause	What to check
Turned a notification off but still got one	The change didn’t save	Toggles save immediately. Reload and retry; a failed save rolls back with an error.
No browser notifications	Per-device permission not granted or blocked	Use Enable browser notifications; if blocked, fix it in your browser’s site settings.
No sound on one device	Play sounds on this device is off there (it’s per-device)	Turn it on in the Notification sounds card on that device.

When reporting an issue, include the request id shown in the error toast. It links the in-app error to the server logs.
