Overview

A template is ready-made workspace structure: objects and their fields, sidebar sections and pages, and workflows. Installing one adds what your workspace is missing and leaves everything you already have as it is. Go to Settings → Data → Templates. Anyone can browse; only workspace admins can install or publish.

Browse the store

The tabs sort the store by who made each template: Click a template to see everything it brings: its objects and their fields, its pages, and its workflows, forms and sequences. Each one is marked with what installing does in your workspace: New, You have it · +2 fields when an object you already have gains fields, or You have it · skipped when you already have a workflow, form or sequence by that name. For example, Billing marks Subscriptions, Invoices and Products as new, and Companies as gaining a Subscriptions field and an MRR field.

Install a template

Click Preview and install. This opens a draft of your workspace with the template added. Nothing changes until you review the draft and click Apply, and you can undo an applied draft for 7 days. Installing never removes or renames anything:
  • An object you already have, matched by its key, gets only the fields it’s missing.
  • A section you already have, matched by name, gets only the pages it’s missing.
  • A workflow or form you already have, matched by name, is skipped.
Templates bring structure only. No records are copied. You can also ask Stella: “add billing to my workspace”. She finds the template and opens the draft for you to review.

Publish a template

Click Publish, name the template, and choose what to include: objects, sidebar sections and forms. Then choose who can install it: A published template never carries your records, your teams, your people or who can see what. A field or page that points at an object you didn’t include is refused by name, so include that object too. Relations to Contacts and Companies are fine, because every workspace has them. Workflows and sequences can’t be published yet.

Review

A public template shows In review until Custral approves it, and you get a notification either way. If it needs changes, the note says what to fix. Publishing a new version of a listed template sends that version to review, and the store keeps showing the approved one until then. Unpublish takes a template out of the store and turns off its share link. Workspaces that installed it keep what they applied.
