The compose modal can be opened from three places:
  • The Email Browser, top-right “New” button.
  • A record detail page. The conversation panel includes a “New email” action when the record has a recognized email property.
  • A conversation thread. Reply and Forward both reuse the compose modal.

Choosing the channel

If your workspace has more than one connected mailbox, the compose modal asks which channel to send from. The default is your personal mailbox; shared inboxes show their own entries.

Inserting into the message

Type / in the message body to open the composer’s command palette: live meeting times from your own booking pages, a form link, a file already in the workspace, or a saved snippet. Type ; to go straight to snippets. See Composer Commands.

Linking to records

Compose remembers the originating record (or any records resolved from the recipient’s email address) and links the resulting Conversation to them automatically. You can add or remove links from the right rail of the thread view at any time.

Attachments

The paperclip uploads from your own device. To attach something already in the workspace, type /file instead (Composer Commands). Attachments are uploaded to Custral storage first and then attached to the outbound message. Files larger than the per-message limit are sent as links instead.

Drafts

Drafts are held on your device until sent or discarded. They are not saved to the server, so closing the tab loses an unsaved draft. Server-side drafts are coming.
