Overview
Snippets are short, reusable pieces of text: a greeting, a signature, a stock answer. That you drop into any editor by typing a;shortcut. They expand
inline as you type in the email composer and the document editor, so you never
retype the same paragraph twice. Unlike full Templates
(whole message bodies with AI personalisation), a snippet is a small fragment
you insert mid-writing. Manage them under Settings → Conversations →
Snippets.
How it works
Every snippet has a title, an optional shortcut, an optional category for organisation, and rich-text content. The content can contain{{variable}} chips, placeholders shown as highlighted badges that
you fill in when the snippet is inserted.
Scopes
Snippets live at one of three scopes, shown as tabs on the Snippets screen:Inserting a snippet
Give a snippet a shortcut (for exampleintro) and then, in the email
composer or document editor, type ;intro. Custral replaces it with the
snippet’s content. Snippets without a shortcut can still be managed here but
have no ; trigger to insert them.
Using it
1
Open Snippets
Go to Settings → Conversations → Snippets and choose the Company, Team, or Personal tab depending on
who should see it.
2
Create the snippet
Click New snippet, give it a title and a short shortcut, then write the content. Add
{{variable}} chips
anywhere a value should be filled in.3
Insert it while writing
In the email composer or document editor, type
; followed by the shortcut (e.g. ;intro) to expand the snippet in
place.Troubleshooting
When reporting an issue, include the request id shown in the error toast. It links the in-app error to the server
logs.
