Overview

When someone invites you to a meeting, Custral shows the event on your Calendar and lets you respond to it without leaving the app. You can RSVP Yes, Maybe, or No, see each guest’s response at a glance, and email everyone on the event in one click.

How it works

Open an event to see its details. Three things drive this feature:
  • Your response. If you’re a guest on the event (and not its organizer) a Your response control appears with Yes, Maybe, and No. Your current answer is highlighted. Picking one sends the RSVP to the organizer through the connected calendar; the organizer can’t RSVP to their own event, so the control is hidden for them.
  • Guest status. Each guest is listed with a colored badge showing their reply: Yes (green), No (red), Maybe (amber), or Awaiting (grey, no reply yet). The header summarizes the counts, e.g. “4 guests · 2 yes, 1 maybe, 1 awaiting”. The organizer is labeled as such.
  • Email guests. The Email guests button opens a new email pre-addressed to every guest on the event. It sends from your own email account (you can switch the sender in the composer), so a quick “running five minutes late” note is one click away.
Responses and statuses come from the underlying calendar (Google, Microsoft, etc.) through the Nylas integration, so they stay in sync with the guests’ own calendars.

From an invite email

When a meeting invite arrives in your inbox, Custral shows an invite card above the message body: the meeting’s title, time, and guest tally, plus the same Yes / Maybe / No control. You can respond without leaving the email. Once you’ve answered, the card reports your reply (“You accepted”). The card appears when the invite matches an event on one of your connected calendars, which is the normal case: Google and Microsoft add invites to your calendar automatically as they arrive. If it doesn’t match one, the email renders as an ordinary message and you can respond from the Calendar instead. The same card appears in the mobile app’s email view.

Using it

1

Respond to an invite

Open the event and, under Your response, choose Yes, Maybe, or No. The organizer is notified and your answer is highlighted. Change it any time by picking a different option.
2

See who's coming

Open any event with guests. Each person shows a status badge (Yes, No, Maybe, or Awaiting) and the header tallies the responses.
3

Email the guests

Click Email guests to open a composer with every guest already in the To field. Pick your sending account if needed, write your message, and send.
4

Respond straight from the invite email

Open the invite in your inbox. The invite card sits above the message body: choose Yes, Maybe, or No there and your reply is sent exactly as it would be from the Calendar.
Responding to an invite and emailing guests both work in the mobile app too. Open an event, tap a response under Your response, or tap Email guests.

Troubleshooting

When reporting an issue, include the request id shown in the error toast. It links the in-app error to the server logs.
