Overview

A recurring event repeats automatically on a schedule (a daily standup, a weekly one-on-one, a monthly review), so you create it once instead of adding it over and over. You set the repeat when you create or edit an event, and Custral shows every occurrence on the Calendar grid.

How it works

Recurring events are configured with the Repeat control in the event editor. It offers quick presets (Daily, Weekly on , Monthly, Annually) plus a Custom… option for anything else: repeat every N days/weeks/months/years, pick specific weekdays for a weekly rule, and choose when the series ends (never, on a date, or after a number of occurrences). Each occurrence appears as its own event on the grid, marked with a small repeat glyph (↻) so you can tell a series apart from a one-off. Under the hood the whole series is anchored to one “master” event; the individual occurrences you see and click are expanded from it for the dates currently in view. Because a series has both a master and individual occurrences, editing or deleting a recurring event asks which you mean:
  • This event: changes or removes only the occurrence you clicked, leaving the rest of the series untouched.
  • This and following events: changes or removes the occurrence you clicked and every later one, while keeping the past occurrences. (The series is truncated at that point; editing creates a new series from there with your changes.)
  • All events in the series: changes or removes every occurrence, including the repeat rule itself.

Using it

Make an event repeat

Create or open an event, then set Repeat to a preset (for example Weekly on Wednesday). Save, the event now appears on each scheduled date with the ↻ marker.

Build a custom schedule

Choose Custom… in the Repeat control. Set the interval (e.g. every 2 weeks), pick the weekdays for a weekly rule, and choose how it Ends: never, on a specific date, or after a set number of occurrences.

Edit one occurrence, this-and-following, or the whole series

Open a recurring event and edit it as usual. On save, choose This event (just that occurrence), This and following events (this one and every later one), or All events in the series (every occurrence, including the repeat rule).

Delete one occurrence, this-and-following, or the whole series

Delete a recurring event and choose This event, This and following events, or All events in the series.

Troubleshooting

When reporting an issue, include the request id shown in the error toast. It links the in-app error to the server logs.
