When you place a call, Custral decides which of your numbers appears as the caller ID. You pick the line you call from, and set the business name you’d like displayed.

Choosing the outbound line

In the dialer, the Line picker chooses the number you call from. Your selection is remembered on this device, so the dialer reopens on the same line.

How resolution works

For every outbound call the caller ID resolves in this order: the line you picked → your default/first line → a workspace fallback number. The same logic applies to calls placed by workflows and sequences, so automated calls use a sensible line too.

Outbound caller-ID name (CNAM)

Edit a number under Settings → Phone & SMS → Numbers and set Outbound caller ID name (CNAM) to the business name you’d like shown (e.g. “Acme Corp”).
Custral stores the name you want displayed, but what actually appears on the recipient’s handset is controlled by carrier CNAM databases, not by Custral per call. Displaying a business name reliably requires CNAM / branded-calling registration through the carrier (a separate approval process). Treat this field as your desired value, not a guarantee.

Verified caller IDs

To call from a number you own elsewhere (not purchased in Custral), verify it under Settings → Phone & SMS → Settings → Verified caller IDs. Once verified, it becomes selectable as an outbound line.
